These graphs show annual rainfall in those areas. The amounts are represented monthly and there is a graph for every year. In the charts data regarding rainfall in Bordeaux is represented in green and data regarding rainfall in Mas Martinet, in red. Blue represents the amount of irrigation in our plots of land.

This year was a bit different because in the spring months it rained more in El Priorat than in Bordeaux, so irrigation did not begin until summer.

As shown, in April we started irrigating because from the beginning of the year rainfall had amounted to scarcely 50 litres. The installation of the communicating water ponds had not been finished yet and in mid-May we ran out of water so we could not irrigate any more.

In the first three months Bordeaux received 350 litres of rainfall, which is the total amount El Priorat got along the whole year. We had some problems with our irrigation system and that June was spent without a single drop of water in Mas Martinet. Again rain fell in autumn.

The beginning of the year was quite poor in El Priorat whereas in Bordeaux it brought 80 litres of rainfall every month. Thanks to the water tanks that had been filled up in winter, we could cope with the water limitations of that summer (rainfall amounted only to 8 litres in 3 months). All in all, we got half as much water as in Bordeaux.
